Implement and oversee technology change-management protocols and procedures in order to minimize disruption and maximize transparency for all project stakeholders.Responsible for the successful completion of information technology projects such as: network installations, upgrades, teardowns, moves and device deployments.Technical Project Planning and Management The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: The Associate Director of Innovation and Technology will report to the Chief of Innovation and Technology and will work out of the School Success Team office in East Los Angeles. Experience with the infrastructure and network technologies used within KIPP LA Schools will be preferred: Sonicwall firewalls, Aerohive WAPs, Cisco switches, Apple DEP/VPP/Meraki Mobile Device Management, Jive hosted VoIP, Amazon Web Services EC2, Google Apps for Education, and Zendesk. KIPP LA Schools is a national leader in the adoption and integration of innovative technologies which streamline operations and increase the educational possibilities for students, teachers and schools. Strong candidates will be excellent project managers with a background in network administration, preferably in a K-12 school environment. The ADIT will assist the Chief of Innovation and Technology in guiding the planning, implementation and support of innovation and technology initiatives across KIPP LA Schools and will manage and mentor the network and systems administration team. The ADIT will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure technology projects are aligned with school-level and organizational priorities and are completed with urgency and excellence. The Associate Director of Innovation and Technology will be responsible for information technology planning and project-management as well as day-to-day technology infrastructure oversight and change management. By 2020, KIPP LA will grow to 20 schools serving more than 10,000 students. Our annual consolidated operating budget is approximately $60 million. KIPP LA operates eleven schools – five elementary and six middle schools – and serves more than 4,000 students.
